Reinforced Concrete Corbels Shear Test: The Triangular-Truss Method Evaluation

چکیده
In this paper, five reinforced concrete double-corbel specimens with the same designed bearing capacity are produced according to triangular-truss method (TTM) in GB 50010-2010. Corbels different dimensions and reinforcement configurations obtained by separately varying compressive strength shear span. The differences mechanical performance load-bearing of corbels compared evaluate accuracy rationality TTM under specific variables. Then, predicting 50010-2010, ACI 318-19, EC 2, CSA A23.3-04, softened strut-and-tie method, Russo is compared. results show that safety factor (ratio actual capacity) increased from 1.419 1.718 when improved 20.8 MPa 65.3 MPa; 1.414 1.859 span–depth ratio 0.25 0.67. Compared predictions A23.3-04 for closer test values. level codes 2 essentially same; both SSTM STM accurate predictions.

Shear-friction truss model for reinforced concrete beams
This paper presents a new model, called the "shear-friction truss model," for slender reinforced concrete beams to derive a clear and simple design equation for their ultimate shear strength. In this model, a portion of the shear strength is provided by shear reinforcement as in the traditional truss model, and the remainder by the shear-friction mechanism. Friction resistance is derived consid...
متن کاملShear Behavior Models of Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete Beams Modifying Softened Truss Model Approaches
Recognizing that steel fibers can supplement the brittle tensile characteristics of concrete, many studies have been conducted on the shear performance of steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) members. However, previous studies were mostly focused on the shear strength and proposed empirical shear strength equations based on their experimental results. Thus, this study attempts to estimate the...
متن کاملFracturing Truss Model: Size Effect in Shear Failure of Reinforced Concrete
The classical truss model (or strut-and-tie model) for shear failure of reinforced concrete beams is modified to describe fracture phenomena during failure. The failure is assumed to be caused by propagation of a compression fracture across the concrete strut during the portion of the loading history in which the maximum load is reached. The compression fracture may consist of a band of splitti...
متن کاملHysteretic Behavior of Conventionally Reinforced Concrete Coupling Beams in Reinforced Concrete Coupled Shear Wall
This paper presents the experimental results of four full-scale coupling beams in which only horizontal reinforcements are placed, without diagonal reinforcements, with the aim to develop reinforcement details for coupling beams used in connecting side walls in a wall-slab structural system. Each coupling beam specimen was designed according to the deep-beam design procedure that does not use d...
متن کاملA Blind Prediction Test of Nonlinear Analysis Procedures for Reinforced Concrete Shear Walls
A full scale slice of a 7 story reinforced concrete building was tested on the shake table at the UCSD Engelkirk Structural Research Centre in 2006. As part of the research project, a blind prediction contest was sponsored to assess the capability of currently available analysis procedures to predict the seismic response of cantilever reinforced concrete shear wall structures. This paper descri...
